Are there any webhosting affiliate programs that pay out immediately at your request?

Posted on June 29th, 2010 by admin

Or do they all have a certain day of the month when they pay/minimum payout?
Okay, but do you know any that pay out when I request it?

Some pay at fixed times during the month, others pay when you reach a certain revenue threshold that you establish

What is the difference between a domain and webhosting sites?

Posted on June 26th, 2010 by admin

If you make a website, what is the difference betwenn hosting domian and publishing it though a webhosting website? Will you get more traffic if you have a domain? Will it still say .com at the end if you publish it through webhosting?

To set up a website, there are three steps you will need to take:

*** Get Your Domain Name
A domain name is a name you want to call your website. For example, yahoo.com, google.com, wikipedia.org… . To obtain a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. Take into consideration that you cannot buy a domain for life. You get it for a period of one to ten years. If you fail to renew the domain name at the end of its term, the registration of the domain will be revoked and the domain name may be acquired by another party.

*** Choose a Web Host and Sign Up For an Account
A web hosting service provides you with online space. This enables you to get your web pages online at your registered domain name.

*** Design Your Web Pages and Get Them Online
There are three ways to create and get your website online:
1- Some web hosts offer Easy-To-Use Site Builder that helps you build your web pages without difficulty, even if you are not skilled in using any website creating software. Their web builder is a WYSIWYG program (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get). This means that the finished page will display exactly the way it was designed.
2- You can create the pages offline with your favorite program (DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Microsoft Publisher, iWeb, etc.), and then upload them to your web host. This is another easy way to get your website online.
3- Frontpage Extensions allow you to publish your site directly from the FrontPage application. This means that you will not have to upload files through FTP, or another method. Microsoft FrontPage is a popular WYSIWYG HTML editor and web site administration tool from Microsoft.

* How to Choose a Reliable Web Host? Where Can You Get Started? How Much Does It Cost?

First, take into consideration that web hosting is a global service. It does not matter what country you are located in; US, UK, Canada, Australia or India. It is good to note that the cost of hosting services in most countries is generally a little more expensive in comparison to the same services in Canada and the United States. Specifically, American web hosts offer a much better value for money than any local hosting.

If you want to start your website, I recommend getting your domain and web hosting plan from the same company. This way, it is often possible to get your domain for free, due to some web hosting services offering a domain as a free gift today. Moreover, these web hosts usually offer a free “Site Builder”’ to create your website without paying any additional fees. By taking advantage of all of the aforementioned services, everything you need for setting up your website is provided just in one hosting package.

Don’t trust dishonest claims like "Best web hosting only $1 /month" or "Get the cheapest web hosting without sacrificing quality and features!!". Take into consideration that some hosting companies are cheating and lying to their customers. It is very important that your service be uptime (functioning and available for use) . It means you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and users can enter your website whenever they refer to your site address. If your hosting service is not uptime it can be catastrophic!

Take a look at:

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the website hosting industry.

And the best service available on the web:

Only $3.95 /month (with discount coupon)

Hope this helps.

BlueHost Review by Clickfire

Posted on June 21st, 2010 by admin

BlueHost is one of the very few web hosting providers to receive a 5 out of 5 star rating at Clickfire.com. Several big name web hosting companies have been taken to the woodshed by our reviewers for poor customer support, unfair TOS or poor control panel UI (gotta love these guys and gals, not afraid to speak the truth because they are purposely independant) .

What are the main selling points of BlueHost?
Cheap $6.95 per month rate
“Unlimited” bandwidth and disk space
24/7 U.S. Phone Support (no overseas outsourcing)

Since doing the review, we’ve seen BlueHost go through various changes, some positive, some negative (of course this is debated in the text version of the review comments). After watching the BlueHost Genesis over the years, one thing becomes apparent: under the leadership of Utah entrepreneur Matt Heaton, BlueHost’s aggressive customer acquisition model has propelled this provider to great heights in the shared cPanel web hosting arena.

Read more about the pros and cons and everything in between that we discovered in our hands-on BlueHost web host review. We logged in to BlueHost and called customer support. We looked at the BlueHost terms of service. We tested their user interface. Last but not least, we rated this and many other shared web hosts.

Thanks for checking out Clickfire videos.

Here’s a copy of the video transcript of this review:
Hi I’m Dan Kenitz. You may remember me as a Clickfire contributor. But today,
forget all that because we’re reviewing BlueHost, that web hosting company of the $6.95 variety.By the way, if you want to follow along, check out the BlueHost Review already written at www.clickfire.com. Here’s the link… oops, wrong button. Check out http://www.clickfire.com/bluehost-review/ for more details after this video.

Upon visiting BlueHost.com we alread ready know that BlueHost is a hosting company that comes with all the standard features:

phone support
control panel
plenty of bandwidth for most sane endeavors
and reasonable pricing
There’s also a recently aded free site builder

A quick click of the sign up button gets us right to it. Before we start with anything else, what does the service cost? Funny you should ask that because I have a relevant link for you.

Over at Clickfire.com, we’ve already taken the liberty of laying it all out for you. Because the BlueHost package we found offers unlimited bandwidth and disk space the pricing structure will only break down by the amount of time you purchase it for:

3 months
6 months
12 months
24 months

Once you sign-up. like most hosting providers you’ll be put into the control panel or for you geniuses out there, cPanel. Bu all accounts, the panel works quickly and efficiently and won’t get in the way oof what you’re trying to do. Keep it simple, stupid.

Finally, for most people their choice in hosting service comes down to customer service. We at Clickfire gave this a bit of a test and found that it was very easy to talk to a human in a few minutes or less. When we did talk to them, we got the answer to our questions promptly. No problems there. Also, an email to customer service was returned with a response in just under an hour. Can’t beat that.

Overall, BlueHost is solid hosting provider even if it doesn’t have a lot of frills. The hard to find pricing does have a three month minimum on it. But, if you’re building a site for the long haul, that shouldn’t deter you. BlueHost has been reported to have a terms of service that gives them a lot of power. By the way, if the BlueHost review wasn’t enough for you, check out some of our other reviews at www.clickfire.com.
