what are the downsides of using commercial webhosting services?

Posted on January 3rd, 2012 by admin

Would you be exposing your data and codes to either the provider’s other customers who share the same server, or to the provider itself?

Hi all! I’m new here. I want to know that what’s the most low-tarriffed webhosting provider on the net?

Posted on December 31st, 2011 by admin

I want to open a website. But I don’t know which one is the best value parchaging amonst the thousands of webhosting providers. Please help me.

I can’t provide comparative information for other
services, but I’ve been very pleased with:

http://www.hostexcellence.com

Their low-end package is $2.95/month, and it provides
1 registered domain name, 1 email account, 5GB of storage,
server-based software for building web pages and
ecommerce, and on-line support.

This isn’t an advertisement, just an endorsement. I
have no affiliation with them except as a customer.

Need suggestions please?

Actually I am an affiliate of a publishing company and my affiliate link is

http://www.barefootbooks.com/marketplace/25281/

I want to get customers and have changed my webhosting provider from godaddy to hostgator.
I tried to sell in amazon but the charges seems too expensive as I gain 20% commission on every sales made on my affiliate website and the charges to pay to amazon seems more than what I gain.
Please suggest how to get more customers please.

I work with a marketing company. The whole point of this site is to build a network of marketers and to expand business. It is pretty cool, because you get a lot of exposure and $100 worth of marketing tools for free! Check it out if you are interested.

Good Webhosting Provider?

Posted on August 13th, 2011 by admin

Does anyone know of a good, reliable webhosting provider? Currently, I am using Justhost.com, however after their lovely initial $55.95 entry payment for a year, They jacked my prices up to $107.00 for another year. Their hosting isn’t reliable but I stayed with them because of their inexpensive prices. After this, its the final straw. So I am searching for a better alternative out there. Any suggestions?

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 4 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at:

Only $3.95 /month (with discount coupon)

Should Hostso ban my ip address up to 2020 bec. I requested webhosting for a domain name with the word "bank"?

Posted on August 4th, 2011 by admin

I’m an old customer of Hostso a web hosting service provider and I requested for web hosting services for two domain names with the word "bank". Hostso approved and later cancelled my request. They explained that the word "bank" is not allowed which I accepted but to my dismay Hostso banned my IP address up to the years 2020. If the domain name violates company policy it is alright to cancel the order but is it reasonable to ban the IP address?

While that is not a standard that I am familiar with, Hostso is an independent company that can accept any customers that they want, or deny customers they feel they are not a good fit. You may need to move your hosting to a new provider, as only Hostco has banned your IP, not other providers. As long as you are not doing anything illegal, generally just having the word "bank" in a URL is not an issue. I’d recommend checking out Web Hosting Hub, as I can speak from personal experience that the word "bank" will not get your IP address banned there.

hosting my website with ntlworld?

Posted on July 23rd, 2011 by admin

I have made a simple html website on my computer. my internet provider is ntlworld. do they offer web hosting space for me to put it onto the internet? someone sed u can pay for something like 5mb of server space from them. is this true? If yes, how much is it? Also, will the server be stored on my computer or at ntlworld because on the for sale page, i regularly need to upate this. thanks. if not, where can i get cheap webhosting space , thanks?

Contact NTL to find out if you get web hosting space. It’s quite normal that your internet provider will give you a small amount of web space to use. They will also give you the FTP address, username, and password for this.

The down-side to this is that you will not have a proper domain name. Instead, you’ll have something like http://mysite.ntlworld.com or something like that. Proper web space would allow you to use a proper domain name for your website.

Once you have your web design finished, you upload all of the files via FTP to the web space. The copy on your machine cannot be seen by anyone, but the copy on NTL’s server will be publicly viewable. When you want to update a page, just update it on your PC, and then upload it to the web again.

You essentially have 2 copies of the website – one on your machine, and one on the web. Only the web copy can be seen by anyone else though.

I want to cancel my yahoo webhosting but don’t want to lose my related business email?

Posted on June 11th, 2011 by admin

I have had my website (lets say its called www.example.com) for quite some time now through Yahoo webhosting. As part of the package I also have a related email address for business use (which we’ll call info@example.com). My email address does not have ‘yahoo’ as part of the address.

I’m considering leaving Yahoo and transferring my domain to Shopify.com but I would really like to keep my Yahoo business email address too. Is there any way to do this? Shopify does not offer an email service related to their webhosting. Is there an imparticial provider that I can sign up with so I can keep my info@example.com email address?

Many thanks!

You can definitely keep your email service open with Yahoo! and have your hosting service with shopify.com. The main thing that is required from shopify.com is a static IP address to their services. This will allow your domain to direct all site traffic to shopify.com but will also keep the business mail service active here at Yahoo!.

The IP address for shopify.com service is 174.143.61.89 per Shopify’s site page:

http://support.myshopify.com/customer/portal/articles/75372-can-i-use-a-domain-that-i-own-with-my-shopify-store-

I would suggest you check with shopify.com to make sure this is correct.

Once you have made sure the IP address is correct, you can update your DNS records here at Yahoo! to direct traffic to your new site using the IP address. You can find the steps on how to do so here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/domains/domainfeatures/advanceddns/advanceddns-05.html

Once you have updated the DNS and are no longer need the web hosting services here at Yahoo! you should downgrade your service. Depending on how many email addresses you have, you can either downgrade to our Business Mail package or our Custom Mailbox package. You can find the steps to downgrading your services here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/store/bill/bill-34.html

We hope this answers your question, but if you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact Yahoo! Small Business at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus
