I am a new affiliate marketer. I sell a flight simulator, and want to do it for commission. Since I am new, I don’t want to spend a whole lot of money on hosting. After finding a suitable business internet connection with my local ISP on which to host my server, I came to note that they offered a Monthly Data Transfer Rate Limit of 200GB. Of course, I understand that if *I* download/upload files from/to the web, I will be using up a portion of that 200GB, BUT what I want to know is whether said 200GB is used when my customers upload videos to my site / view it. 200GB for a single person is a lot of space, but for a website that intends to have heavy traffic and a lot of video viewing and uploading, it seems quite limited.

Is Monthly Data Transfer Rate Limit from my ISP essentially the same thing as Monthly Bandwidth with a web hoster? Can my customers access my server / website without affecting my data transfer rate?

You can also have your own server if you need a big database to store data. Some times having a server shared with other members may be inconvenient for you to share resources. There are also many providers to support you for the storage and bandwidth of the hosting like, tucktail.com gives you unlimited space, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited database. You will have different options if you have your own server. I thing having an unlimited bandwidth and space will give you more convenience for your uploading and downloading videos.

Once you sign-up. like most hosting providers you’ll be put into the control panel or for you geniuses out there, cPanel. Bu all accounts, the panel works quickly and efficiently and won’t get in the way oof what you’re trying to do. Keep it simple, stupid.

Finally, for most people their choice in hosting service comes down to customer service. We at Clickfire gave this a bit of a test and found that it was very easy to talk to a human in a few minutes or less. When we did talk to them, we got the answer to our questions promptly. No problems there. Also, an email to customer service was returned with a response in just under an hour. Can’t beat that.

Overall, BlueHost is solid hosting provider even if it doesn’t have a lot of frills. The hard to find pricing does have a three month minimum on it. But, if you’re building a site for the long haul, that shouldn’t deter you. BlueHost has been reported to have a terms of service that gives them a lot of power.
