What webhosting should i use?
Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin
I’m new to webdesign, and i’ve made my brother a small website (www.aphaulage.uuuq.com). At the moment i’m using a free hosting and free domain but i want to buy a domain with some cheap hosting but dont have a clue which to get.
Any help would be great, cheers.
I suggest just registering a domain, to minimize payments, and to use great quality hosting instead, if that website is just as small as you’re saying, because you don’t need much resources. The link goes to free hosting with 1.5 GB disk space, 100 GB bandwidth per month, and other great features (just visit the site). But if you’re going to make a large corporate website (even just a small business website) I recommend paid hosting. The paid version of 000webhost below charges less than $ 5 a month, and gives you unlimited disk space and bandwidth. It is Hosting24.com. Click the link below.

there are so many web hosting companies out there now. your best bet would to google search it. look at the features you want. do you need php? do you ned Ruby on Rails? do you need ASP? are you gonna need alot of space vs. alot of bandwidth? all these are questions only you can answer.
if your looking for domains godaddy.com has some of the best prices. dont use yahoo ( sorry yahoo) but they jacked up the prices horribly! i used to have domains here and it was about $10 than it jumped up to $35! seriously….
anyways. that should hopefully get you started.

I use http://wwwserver.co.uk for a lot of my domains – £35 for 2 years, includes domain and hosting, so that works out at £17.50 per year (and includes database/asp if you need it).
Luis L mentioned BlueHost – have used them before, thought they were great.

Take look at some of the web hosting review sites http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=web+host+reviews to find the best hosting for you.
There are plenty of domain name registrars around but I use GoDaddy – http://www.godaddy.com/default.aspx
