What is the difference between a a domain and a webhosting site?

If you make a website, what is the difference betwenn hosting domian and publishing it though a webhosting website? Will you get more traffic if you have a domain? Will it still say .com at the end if you publish it through webhosting?

a domain hosting is your site.com/w/e site that is hosting your domain and if u publish it your self it will your site.com no other site just your site .com

"Will you get more traffic if you have a domain?" Maybe a little more.
"Will it still say .com at the end if you publish it through webhosting?" Yes, it’ll be something like your-name.the-name-of-your-web-host.com. Or the-name-of-your-web-host.com/your-name.
If you’re just getting started you should use a web host because they’re cheaper. Once you know what you’re doing you can purchase a domain.
I think the way GoDaddy makes most of its money is from clueless people buying domains they never end up actually using. Make sure you’re not clueless by practicing whatever you’re doing with cheap or free web hosting first.
